Overview
At Constellation Mental Health Services, we believe that psychological assessment should be more than data points and diagnoses.
Our approach to Integrative Therapeutic Assessment explores the patterns beneath your experiences so you leave with language for who you are, what you need, and how to move forward.
Originally developed by Dr. Stephen E. Finn, Therapeutic Assessment offers a collaborative, person-led approach that in our opinion, bridges the science of psychology with the art of therapy.
Instead of asking “What’s wrong with me?” we examine “What’s true about me and how can I live more fully as myself?”
This process transforms assessment into an experience of insight and connection. It’s not about labeling who you are, it’s about helping you see yourself clearly, kindly, and completely.

What Makes This Approach Different
Typical psychological assessments can feel clinical, rushed, or disconnected from the person behind the data.
Integrative Therapeutic Assessment slows the process down and reimagines it as a series of meaningful conversations supported by selective, thoughtful use of psychological tools.
Together, we explore the patterns that shape your experiences not to label, but to learn and understand.
You’ll walk away not just with answers, but with a deeper sense of your own inner landscape: how you think, feel, connect, and grow.

This approach may be ideal for:
-
Adults who want to explore their mental health and/or neurodivergence (autism, ADHD, giftedness, learning differences) in an affirming and strengths-based way
-
Individuals who have felt misunderstood or mislabeled by past assessments
-
People navigating trauma, grief, or identity transitions who want to understand patterns of adaptation
-
Clients seeking to bridge insight and action to move from “what’s wrong with me?” to “how do I thrive as I am?”
-
Those who value reflection, meaning, and relational understanding in their personal growth
